Zelensky thanked the border guards for their service

The President expressed special gratitude to the soldiers of the DOZOR special unit of the State Border Service of Ukraine, soldiers of the Vengeance, Steel Border brigades, and border guards of the Volyn, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkov detachments.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, in an evening video message to the people on Sunday, April 28, thanked the fighters for their protection and named individual border guard heroes.

“Based on the results of the week, the soldiers of the 57th separate and 58th separate motorized infantry brigades, as well as the soldiers of the 35th separate marine brigade, deserve special gratitude. I will also note our border guard soldiers – both those who, together with everyone else, are now fighting on the front line, and those who protect our border communities and destroy Russian DRGs,” Zelensky said.

The President expressed special gratitude to all the soldiers of the DOZOR special unit of the State Border Service of Ukraine, the soldiers of the Vengeance brigade – staff sergeant Alexander Meteyko, senior sergeants Sergei Nesterenko and Svyatoslav Ignatyuk; brigade Steel Border – chief sergeant Ivan Koval, sergeant Vitaly Mikitenko, senior soldier Evgeniy Kolesnik; Chernigov and Volyn border detachments – senior soldier Mikhail Danilyuk and Mikhail Mindyuk, sergeant Yuri Romashin and Mikhail Sereda, senior sergeant Roman Novik; Sumy border detachment – especially to soldier Andrei Krut and staff sergeant Yuri Popkov; Kharkov detachment – senior soldiers Denis Shevchenko and Vladimir Shevtsov, Major Andrey Kuchinsky.

Proud of all of you, warriors! “I thank each and everyone who is with Ukraine, who is in Ukraine and for whom Ukraine is the only home on this earth,” Zelensky emphasized.
