According to British departments, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost about 450 thousand personnel and more than 10,000 armored vehicles in Ukraine killed and wounded.
These words were quoted by the Minister for the Armed Forces Leo Doquetry from the British portal UK Defense Journal, specializing in military topics; the answer is also published in the response to queries section on the parliament website.
The minister cited such assessments in response to questions from opposition Labor Party MP John Healey, who asked for detailed department estimates of Russian losses in Ukraine for both the regular army and private military companies.
“We estimate that about 450,000 Russian troops have been killed or wounded, and tens of thousands more have deserted since the conflict began,” Doquetry said.
He added that the number of deaths among mercenaries of Russian private military companies is unknown.
Also, according to our estimates, since the beginning of the conflict, more than 10 thousand units of Russian armored vehicles have been destroyed, including about 3,000 main battle tanks, 109 aircraft, 136 helicopters, 346 drones (type not specified – Ed.), 23 vessels of various classes and more 1,500 artillery systems of various types,” the minister said.
