Olga Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, stressed that Ukraine will not forcibly return Ukrainian men of military age from other countries.
“Ukraine has adopted a law on mobilization, and we must understand how much we can replace the guys on the front line. We are talking about mobilization potential – the register and information. And this is the main purpose of our decision,” he said. – said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Stefanyshina said that European Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Ylva Johansson will visit Ukraine in May to discuss with Ukrainian authorities the future legal status of Ukrainians abroad, since the current EU temporary protection mechanism is valid until March 2025.
“Therefore, there will be no restrictions or forced return of Ukrainian citizens of any gender and age to a country that is at war. But there are no pleasant solutions to military issues, and let's not forget that the war continues and we must win it. “- emphasized Stefanishina.
