Over the past week, DEC repair crews have restored power to 68 thousand consumers who were without power due to the fighting. The energy holding announced this on Monday, April 29.
It is indicated that we are talking about 50 settlements in the Odessa, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
Most of the repair work was carried out in the Odessa region. Another shelling by Russians on the morning of April 24 caused a blackout in the homes of 32.6 thousand Ukrainians.
“By evening, DTEK power engineers, with the permission of the military and rescuers, repaired the damage and restored electricity to all houses that were de-energized as a result of the shelling,” the report says.
Active hostilities also continued in the Donetsk region. Here, last week, repair crews managed to restore electricity to the homes of 25.5 thousand residents of the front-line region.
The Dnepropetrovsk region is also subject to constant shelling, especially the south of the region, close to the zone of active hostilities. Within a week, power engineers were able to restore power to 10.1 thousand customers who had lost power due to constant shelling.
“The energy workers are doing everything possible to repair the damage as quickly as possible. They begin work as soon as they receive permission and access to the damage site from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service,” the holding added.
