To combat the “gray” timber market, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced the obligation of photographic recording for all forest users.

This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.

As the head of the department, Ruslan Strelets, said, now the electronic wood accounting system will generate an invoice only after uploading a photo of a timber truck with wood.

Wood loaded onto timber trucks is photographed from four angles, after which the photographs are uploaded into the EDI system. The pattern of folded wood is unique, it is impossible to duplicate it, so you cannot use the invoice a second time, the ministry said.

In addition, information about the TTN is open, which will allow everyone to check the authenticity of documents for wood on the LIAC website.

Six months ago, this service began to be tested in branches of the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, and has now been extended to all forest users.
