The Pentagon has extended the contract with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to provide Starlink Internet services in Ukraine. Bonnie Poindexter, a spokeswoman for the US Space Systems Command, told Bloomberg.

“The contract provides access to the Starlink constellation, equipment and customer support on agreed upon terms,” Poindexter said.

Notably, this is part of the $2.5 billion in contracts awarded to SpaceX for its military satellite launch program. In addition, SpaceX is currently participating in a new round of bidding with United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin Corp. and Boeing Co.
