At the Ustilug automobile checkpoint in Volyn, customs officers seized books from French publishers of the late 19th century from a man.
This was reported to Volyn customs.
The man unreasonably chose the “green corridor” to go through customs control. Items subject to mandatory written declaration were books from French publishing houses of the late 19th century.
They may be of cultural value, and the movement of such antiques across the border is under state control, the report says.
The man's books were confiscated. And to him, according to Part 2 of Art. 471 of the Customs Code, faces a fine of 30 percent of the value of the items of the offense. It will be determined additionally by experts.
