Prague does not plan to send its instructors directly to Ukraine, given the geographical proximity of the two countries.
The Czech Republic may train four thousand Ukrainian soldiers on its territory this year. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Jana Černochová on Saturday, June 8, iDnes reports.
She recalled that last year four thousand Ukrainian soldiers were trained in the Czech Republic. The same number has been approved for this year.
“As soon as we receive information that a change has been made, we provide our training facilities and instructors,” said the Czech Minister of Defence.
At the same time, she clarified that the maximum number of “changes” is 800 military personnel.
At the same time, Chernokhova stated that the Czech Republic does not plan to send its instructors directly to Ukraine, given the geographical proximity of military training grounds in Libava and Olomouc to the neighboring state. According to Chernokhova, some countries are considering such a possibility due to the distance from Ukraine.
