At the Ustylug automobile checkpoint in Volyn, customs officers confiscated books from French publishers from the late 19th century from a man.
This was reported by the Volyn Customs Office.
The man unjustifiably chose the “green corridor” for customs control. The items subject to mandatory written declaration were books from French publishing houses of the late 19th century.
They may be of cultural value, and the movement of such antiques across the border is under state control, the report says.
The books were confiscated from the man. And he, according to Part 2 of Article 471 of the Customs Code, faces a fine of 30 percent of the value of the items of the offense. It will be determined additionally by experts.
