The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is investigating the actions of Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol during his command of the defense of the Kharkov Front and other factors pointed out by the Chief of Staff of the Azov Brigade of the National Guard Bohdan “Tavr” Krotevich.

The sources noted that the State Bureau of Investigation responded to Krotevich that his statement about possible abuse of power and incompetent command of troops by the commander of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Khortytsia" Yuriy Sodol had been taken into account. Moreover, they emphasized that as a result, Krotevich's testimony was added to the criminal case on the circumstances of the breakthrough of the front by Russian troops in the Kharkov region, which, among other things, provides a legal assessment of the actions of the military command of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Khortytsia" in planning and conducting defensive operations at the front.

The State Bureau of Investigation promised Krotevich that the circumstances he described would be verified.

The day before, Krotevich himself stated on Twitter (X) that he was “not satisfied with the State Bureau of Investigation’s response.”

"Now it's up to the lawyers. I am grateful to everyone who supports me. I ask the military not to be afraid to testify (including those who do not have a large presence in the media). We will not back down," he added.
