French President Emmanuel Macron will meet his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on June 6 at the Elysee Palace. The Ukrainian leader will attend the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, also known as D-Day.

“As Russian attacks intensify in combat zones and on energy infrastructure, the two presidents will discuss the situation on the front lines and Ukraine’s needs,” the administration said.

These discussions will be a “continuation of the Conference in support of Ukraine held on the Champs-Elysees on February 26,” during which Macron first raised the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine.

Macron announced Zelensky's visit last week, but the Ukrainian side has not yet confirmed it.
