Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has promised to lift sanctions against Russia if he wins the election, The New Republic reports.
In his opinion, with its sanctions against Moscow and Tehran, the administration of current US President Joe Biden is losing Iran and Russia, and is also giving China a chance to make its currency "dominant." Trump is convinced that measures against countries like Russia "weaken the dollar."
"There are so many conflicts with all these countries that you will lose the dominance of the dollar," he added.
Trump stressed that if he wins the election, he intends to “use sanctions as little as possible.”
